The Laboratoire Magmas et Volcans (LMV), Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) and Observatoire Physique du Globe de Clermont-Ferrand (OPGC) are expecting a tenure-track professorship (Junior Professor Chair) specializing in early Earth studies, to begin in Fall 2025. This position is part of a strategic initiative to strength our expertise in early Earth systems, planetary science, and the origins and evolution of Earth.

The successful candidate will be expected to :

The tenure-track position spans 3 to 6 years, with the potential for a permanent appointment as a tenured full professor following a successful review. Upon tenure, the teaching load will align with the standard 192 hours per year of the French university system. The tenure track position comes with a 200,000 Euros grant package that can be used for the recruitment of a PhD or a post-doc.
